Three care sectors – one shared opportunity

CareLend Bildungsgesellschaft mbH is an AZAV-certified educational provider and supports international nurses on their path to professional recognition in Germany through adaptation courses.

Our participants already hold a foreign nursing qualification and live in Germany during their adaptation measure.

For the practical qualification, we are looking for suitable facilities that can take on individual participants or small groups.

1. Hospitals and clinics – acute inpatient care

Internship:240 hoursper participant

In acute care, our participants gain practical experience in caring for patients with acute illnesses.

What we need from your facility:

  • A suitable internship placement on a nursing ward.
  • A practical placement of 240 hours.
  • Professional support and qualified practical instruction.
  • The opportunity to carry out nursing tasks under supervision in line with their individual level of competence.
  • Documentation of the practical hours completed.
  • Feedback on professional and personal development.
  • Cooperation in achieving the individual learning objectives.

What your hospital gains:

You get to know international nurses directly in everyday ward life, experience their professional and language skills first-hand and, if there is mutual interest, can consider employing them later.

In addition, if you provide the corresponding number of internship placements, you benefit from our offer of a free placement of skilled nurses.

2. Retirement homes and care homes – long-term inpatient care

Internship:500 hoursper participant

In long-term inpatient care, our participants learn about the long-term support and nursing care of older people and people in need of care.

What we need from your facility:

  • A suitable internship placement in long-term inpatient care.
  • A practical placement of 500 hours.
  • Qualified practical instruction and a permanent contact person.
  • Involvement in nursing care in line with their level of training and competence.
  • Teaching of care planning, nursing documentation and individual care processes.
  • Guidance in dealing with people in need of care and their relatives.
  • Documentation of the practical hours and assessment of the competencies acquired.

What your care home gains:

You get to know internationally trained nurses over a longer period and gain a direct impression of their professional development, their sense of responsibility and how they work with your nursing team.

If there is mutual interest, this can lead to a long-term career prospect.

Care homes, too, benefit from our offer of an additional free placement of skilled nurses.

3. Outpatient care services – home care

Internship:150 hoursper participant

In outpatient care, our participants learn about providing nursing care to people in their home environment.

What we need from your care service:

  • A suitable internship placement in outpatient care.
  • A practical placement of 150 hours.
  • Accompaniment by qualified nurses on home visits and care rounds.
  • Professional instruction in suitable nursing tasks.
  • Teaching of the specific features of home care.
  • Insights into communication with relatives, doctors and other parties involved.
  • Instruction in outpatient care planning and nursing documentation.
  • Proof of the practical hours and a final assessment.

Participants are deployed in line with their individual level of competence. Independent tasks are only carried out where the legal and professional requirements are met.

What your outpatient care service gains:

You can get to know international nurses personally and assess their suitability for outpatient care.

In doing so, you gain an impression of their communication skills, their independence and how they interact with people in need of care.

Outpatient care services, too, receive an additional free placement of skilled nurses if they provide the corresponding number of internship placements.

Your special advantage:Ten internship placements – one free nurse placement

We would like to thank facilities that regularly support international nurses in obtaining their professional recognition.

That is why we offer our practice partners a special cooperation model:

  • 10 internship placements per calendar year → 1 free nurse placement
  • 20 internship placements per calendar year → 2 free nurse placements
  • The offer applies to all three care sectors.
  • The additional placement is carried out by CareLend GmbH, holder of the quality seal “Faire Anwerbung Pflege Deutschland” (Fair Recruitment Nursing Germany).

What services does the free placement include?

As part of the agreed free placement, our services include, among other things:

  • International recruitment and candidate selection.
  • Organization of or support with language training and the language examination.
  • Support with translations and document management.
  • Support throughout the professional recognition procedure.
  • Support with the visa and entry into Germany.
  • Coordination between the employer, the nurse and the bodies involved.
  • Support until the agreed completion of the placement.

The agreed recruitment and placement services are free of charge for your facility. The placed nurse does not pay any recruitment or placement fees for them either.

The specific services and conditions are set out in a transparent cooperation agreement.

Do you have to offer ten internship placements at the same time?

No.

You can spread the internship placements over the calendar year.

For example, you can take on individual participants at different times or supervise small groups.

You can also start with just one internship placement.

Planning is carried out jointly, taking into account your staffing and organizational capacities.
