Basic course 3 days | in-house on request

Dates by arrangement at your facility or for small groups in the CareLend-Bildung course room in Weißenfels.

Course content

The BWKE basic course includes:
  • Theory and practice in teaching-learning groups at the bed
  • Transfers, positioning, walking and getting up from the floor
  • Communication through movement and quality of touch
In-depth topics and practical supervision by arrangement.

Type of training

  • Continuing-education course BWKE (Movement, Perception and Communication as a Unit)

Funding

  • €715 plus VAT per course day for up to 10 participants
  • From the 11th participant: €75 plus VAT per participant and day
Travel and accommodation as required.

Target group

Nursing staff, therapists, specialists in rehabilitation and prevention, family carers.

Participation requirements

  • German at least B1, ideally B2
  • Work clothing and work shoes
  • Willingness to practise hands-on in the group

Completion

  • BWKE certificate of participation – Mitteldeutsche BewegungsSchule for each participant
  • Written course materials for each participant
  • Course follow-up: electronic processing of the feedback forms for quality control
  • Advice on implementation in everyday nursing and therapy

Teaching format

In-person in teaching-learning groups: demonstrated competences are applied and questioned immediately in group work, guided by theory.
  • Monday–Friday by arrangement, 8 teaching units per day
  • Location: Feldstr. 4a, 06667 Weißenfels or in-house

Course preparation (facility)

Required equipment (guideline figures for up to 10 participants):
  • Beds: 1 bed per 3 participants (ideally 4 beds with electric extension) – everyone practises as “patient”, “carer” and “instructor”
  • Blankets: 2 per bed (8 blankets) – for positioning
  • Wheelchairs: 1 per bed (3 wheelchairs, ideally different types)
  • Bed covers: 1 per blanket + 1 per bed (12 bed covers) – covers without blankets for positioning variations
  • Pillows: 2 per bed (8 pillows) – for positioning
  • Pads: 2 per bed (8 pads) – for positioning
  • Towels: 2 per bed (8 towels) – for positioning
  • Presentation board: 1 (please with accessories)
Please come in work clothing and be prepared to practise with one another.

  • €715 plus VAT per course day (up to 10 participants)
  • In-house and practical supervision on request
