Movement, Perception and Communication as a Unit (BWKE)

Movement, Perception and Communication as a Unit (BWKE) is an integrated movement-education concept for all kinds of movement in nursing, therapy and rehabilitation. By linking kinaesthetics, Basal Stimulation and Bobath, new possibilities arise for shaping the Activities of Daily Living (ADL).

The BWKE concept treats movement, perception and communication not as separate areas but as an inseparable unit – a foundation for respectful, resource-oriented care.

Course at a glance

Aim

Ready-to-apply knowledge for movement support in bed, at the bedside, during transfers and when walking – following the BWKE principle.

Structure

Modular basic course with 24 teaching units; in-depth modules and practical supervision by arrangement.

Duration

8 teaching units per day (6 clock hours ≙ 8 × 45 min, plus breaks), usually 8:15–15:15.

Completion

Certificate from Mitteldeutsche BewegungsSchule confirming active participation in the BWKE course.

Flexibility

Can be split into individual modules (3 × 1 day possible; slightly higher rate if split); in-house delivery possible nationwide at your facility.

Participants

4 to 10 participants per course (additional cost for more than 10).

Add-on

Practical instruction and supervision at the bedside to apply what you've learned right away.

Cost

€715 plus VAT per course day for up to 10 participants; in-house on request.

Target groups and preparation

Target groups: nursing staff, physiotherapists, professionals in rehabilitation and prevention as well as family carers.

Language level: at least B1, ideally B2 at the start of the course.

Please bring: work or comfortable clothing, work shoes and writing materials.
